Alright, so after reading the first few response I tried prying with a flathead screwdriver from the top, didn't budge, the edge lifted by there was alot of force holding the plate against the wall. Then I realized there's a notch on the bottom of the plate (edit: yeah it's a IBDN plate like what the above poster said).
