WebSomeone once posted a list of Emmons serial numbers on the forum. The first year on the list was 1966, and the numbers went from 1024 to 1126. I've been told by several folks that the S-10s and D-10s used different numbering systems and that the system used for D-10 Emmons guitars is not an accurate way to date the S-10 guitars.
